The American Heart Association (AHA) offers several different types of CPR classes, depending on the needs of the student. Information on this page pertains to the Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider classes for healthcare providers.

As a CPR instructor, I believe that every person has the power to make a difference in a life-threatening emergency. Class Breakdown
All classes start with a brief introduction, from there, we move into the training portion. This can take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours for more advanced courses. After the training portion, the class progresses onto the testing phase. In the testing phase the class is split into two groups; Group 1 takes the paper test while Group 2 takes the skills test. Once both groups finish the groups swap
Introduction: 10 minutes
Training: 2-5 hours (depending on certification level)
Testing and remediation: 45 minutes – 2 hours (depending on class size)
Class sizes
Classes are preferably conducted in sizes of 10 or 12 people
Pricing
For most courses, my prices are usually $65 per person for classes between 10 and 34 people, and $55 per person for classes over 35 people (Some exceptions apply)
